Digital Tower
A ‘digital tower’ can be whatever an airport needs it to be from a turnkey solution that replicates operations more cost efficiently, to something underpinned by industry leading artificial intelligence that addresses complex and specific operational challenges.
For 15 years, Searidge has been defining and redefining the remote/digital tower space. Our technology has evolved to support airports big and small with five operational models: tower in tower to operate a small airport remotely, digital remote tower for single runway, and for mid-sized airports, hybrid and fully digital primary or contingency facility, all of which have been successfully deployed at various airports around the world.
Digital Apron
Searidge pioneered the remote apron management concept at MLA in 2010. Building on the success of this site, the solution evolved to include artificial intelligence which was deployed at FLL in 2017, replacing the airport’s two ramp control towers with one Virtual Ramp Control System facility that enables just two controllers to manage the airport’s 60+ gates. In 2021, Delta Airlines implemented the Searidge platform at LGA as part of a major redevelopment of Terminal C. Once complete, Delta’s Terminal C will consist of 37 gates distributed among four concourses.
Digital Airport Services
In addition to our years of operational experience, what differentiates Searidge from others is our collaborative ecosystem, built on the Searidge Digital Platform.
The backbone of our platform consists of non-proprietary components, creating an ecosystem that emphasizes
openness and minimizes data silos and vendor lock-in. The platform provides a facility for aviation stakeholders to share data with each other in a way that adheres to cybersecurity best practices and provides high availability/fault tolerance. In a transformative upgrade program at HKG, Searidge’s digital platform was implemented as part of a new Integrated Airport Centre that opened in 2022 to enable aviation stakeholders to access common data. This is the first collaboration between an airport and an ANSP for a single digital platform and the largest digital deployment to date. The digital environment supports increased levels of intelligent automation aimed at delivering more predictable operations, increased safety, more efficient resource management, and enhanced capacity.

AI-Enabled Applications
Aimee is our advanced neural network framework for the development of AI- based solutions for ATC and airport efficiency. Searidge implemented its first AI application in the Middle East more than five years’ ago, installing a traffic light automation system to manage vehicle crossing points on the airfield at DOH. A similar system at DXB is also capable of processing visual characteristics, voice communications and events to support daily operations and help determine optimum routes.
At FLL, Aimee uses advanced object detection, recognition and classification to detect aircraft at the gates. The system then uses these aircraft detections and their proximity to the airport gates to provide FLL staff with gate statuses for all the gates.
Performance improvement is driving more applications of Aimee, ranging from aircraft stand safety alerts at LGA for Delta Airlines’ automated management system, to sandbox trials at London Heathrow and Singapore Changi airports.
